It looks like all systems go for the 2021 series. After a blank 2020 there are signs that many riders are just raring to go.
1st round this year is the traditional visit to Yatton Keynell in Wiltshire, the “home” of Bath Classic MCC, on Sunday, 25th April.
You can get your entry form from the AMCA website, or from John Payton on 07891-790140, or from me (Dave Gittins) on 07971-365177. Closing date: 16th April. The forms also contain information about the AMCA and UK government Covid-19 guide lines. All completed entry forms are being handled by Kevin Butt at Track Times – details on entry form.
New this year is a distinct Pre-60 class with awards at the end of the series.
The club is expecting a large entry for this first round and since the maximum line-up is 36 riders it may be necessary to have a total of 4 championship races, rather than the usual two. If this is the case then Pre-60 and Pre-65 will be combined for two races; and Pre-68 and Pre-74 will do likewise for an additional two races. Listen for an announcement on the day.
There has also been an important change in the championship fixtures. The original 2nd round, courtesy of the Westmorland club at Kendal on 23rd May, has been CANCELLED. It will be replaced by the Westmorland club meeting, again at Kendal, on Saturday/Sunday 26th/27th June. Please note: the championship event is likely to be on the Saturday.
Latest information also suggests the regs/entry forms for the Acorns meeting on 13th June (now round 2) are being circulated and should be available on the AMCA website.
