Honours were even in the Pre74 class with Ashley Wilson and current championship leader Kris Winder each taking one victory and one second place each. Keith Rice brought his CZ home in third twice.

Gene Womack made the starts and battled with Will Bateup in the Pre65’s, Bateup unluckily suffering a broken ignition cable in race one retiring a lap from the finish. Womack took a double win on his Jawa Metisse.

Local rider Greg Speed had to use his second machine a Triumph instead if his usual Cheney BSA due to ignition problems, he still took first in the Pre68’s in race one  but was left at the back in race two. John Cash came through for the class win from Mitch Harris and Chris Collins. Harris had a good meeting on the Wood BSA with a second and third in class. Winder, Speed and Womack go into round 4 in Westmorland Cumbria as the class leaders.
