This meeting includes a round of the Pre-83 125cc Championship and the  4th round of the AMCA/CDB  British  Classic Motocross Championship, writes Dave Gittins. There will be classic championship races on both days – one on each day.

After 3 rounds the leading positions in the classic championship series look like this:

All classic entries should note that there has been a minor change to the classes shown in the entry form for this meeting.

Bath Classic - Postponed until 27th May

This meeting, due to run on 22nd April and which includes the 1st round of the AMCA/CDB British Classic Motocross Championship, has been re-arranged due to the weather conditions.  It will now be held on Sunday, 27th May. Same venue etc.

Riders already entered will have their entries transferred to the new date.  Otherwise contact John Payton on 07891 790140 or 01761 431506.

The presentation of awards for the 2017 season will take place at the Telford Classic Show (courtesy of Mortons the publishers) on Saturday, 17th February at 4pm. I am hoping that Gerrit Wolsink (the “Flying Dentist”) will do the honours.

22nd April: Bath Classic @ Yatton Keynell, nr Chippenham, Wilts.
13th May: Acorns @ Butterton, near Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffs.
24th June: Cumbria Classic @ Blencarn, near Penrith, Cumbria
14/15th July: Mortimer Classic @ Bennetts Hill, Theale/Burghfield, nr Reading
        (This is a 2 day meeting. Championship event on Sunday 15th only)
4/5th August: North Devon (Atlantic) @ Combe Martin, North Devon
        (This is a 2 day meeting. Championship event on Saturday, 4th only)
26th August: Moseley (Birmingham) MCC @  Hanbury,  Worcestershire
30th September:  Llanthony Classic @ Court Farm, Llanthony, near Abergavenny, Mon.

Classic AGM

Thanks to all the representatives who came to the Classic AGM, the meeting was attended by over 40 delegates. The fixtures for 2018 have been agreed and can be downloaded below.

British Classic Motocross Championship - 6th August

The 5th round of the AMCA/Classic Dirt Bike-sponsored British Classic Motocross Championship takes place this on the 6th August at Berrynarbor, near Combe Martin in North Devon, writes Dave Gittins.
This is a two day meeting – Saturday and Sunday – which features championship events on both days. Also included in the programme is a round of the Partridge Ventilation Pre-83 125cc championship.  

After a very successful 4th round at the Mortimer club’s meeting near Reading on 16th July the leading positions in the two championship groups look like this:
