The Amateur Motor Cycle Association announces the launch of the AMCA Hub in the coming months

The Amateur Motor Cycle Association (AMCA) is delighted to announce that it will be launching a new online service, the AMCA Hub, to improve the online experience of riders and clubs across the UK.

Once launched, the AMCA Hub will replace the current online membership system to give riders and clubs greater control over their involvement in the sport. By creating a profile within the AMCA Hub you will be able to purchase and renew Rider Licences, apply for Championship registration, as well as enter the 100’s of events taking place each year.

The launch of the AMCA Hub will also see riders be able to take advantage of a number of new features such as digital rider licences that can be added to Apple and Android smartphones. There will also be a variety of tools design specifically for Clubs, including administration features for management members and event-related functionality that we hope will support events across the country.

The AMCA has been supporting the growth of off-road motorcycling since 1932, making the organisation one of the oldest authorising bodies of its kind in the world. We continue to provide support to riders of all ages and abilities across the country, and the launch of the AMCA Hub is the organisation’s latest initiative aimed at creating greater levels of engagement with all those involved in the sport.

Suzanne Potts, General Manager at the Amateur Motor Cycle Association, believes the introduction of the AMCA Hub will mark a big step forward for the organisation:

“We’ve known for a while that we wanted to improve the online services provided to everyone participating in our sport, but it was a case of finding the right partner who could deliver what we had envisaged. We believe we have found that partner in Sport:80 who came to us with a great reputation and glowing references from peers in our industry. They have taken the time to get in to the detail of our organisation and how we can improve the online experience for our members. Now just a couple of months away from launching the AMCA Hub, we have been really impressed with what we have seen and I’ve no doubt that it’s going to be of huge benefit to riders, clubs and our organisation.”

The AMCA appointed Sport:80 as its Technology Partner earlier this year, making the decision to adopt the company’s innovative sport management technology. The AMCA Hub is due to launch before the end of the year and will provide members of the Governing Body with a new way to engage with the sport prior to the start of the 2018 season.

The countdown has begun for the annual East Coast motorsport spectacular on Skegness Beach – the AMCA’s motocross beach race comes to town for the eighth consecutive year on the weekend of 4th and 5th November and promises to be another entertaining weekend.

The event has gone from strength to strength over the past eight years and now attracts riders from far and wide as it’s reputation for being one of the toughest beach races in the U.K. has proved a strong draw for motocross and enduro riders alike. Over 300 riders are expected to power round the purpose built course consisting of massive jumps, bomb holes, whoops, sweeping corners, fast straights and of course not forgetting passing under Skegness pier providing spectators with excellent opportunities to view the action.

The weekend kicks off on Saturday at 10.30am with a Clubman solo race of ninety minutes duration followed by a two hour combined Quads and Sidecars battle. Then on Sunday, it’s the epic three-hour gruelling main solo race, with over 200 riders expected to do battle in the sand to chase down the £1,000 winners cheque.

The event remains free to spectate and provides thrill packed entertainment for the whole family from the safety of the recently refurbished Promenade and Pier.

As usual, organising the Skegness Motocross Beach race are the Amateur Motor Cycle Association, the largest organising association for Off-road Motorcycle-Sport in the UK. The AMCA have as in previous years has worked with the Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure & Culture, East Lindsey District Council and East Lindsey Event Safety Advisory Group to ensure that the entire weekend is held in a manner that both compliments the town and also benefits the local economy by attracting people to Skegness during the closed season. The East Lindsey District Council have provided unwavering commitment to the Skegness Beach Moto-cross event right from day one, so it’s thanks to them, the towns people, local businesses and all the event sponsors for their ongoing backing which ensures the continuing success of this exciting event.
